La luz como respiración del viaje
En China / Travel Photography Project, Alex Usquiano explora la delicada frontera entre el movimiento y la quietud.
A través de las luces de Beijing y Shanghái, transforma el viaje en una experiencia interior: un encuentro con la impermanencia, el silencio y la belleza que habita en lo efímero.
Cada imagen es un instante suspendido —una meditación visual donde el mundo se revela tal como es, antes de que el pensamiento lo nombre.
Light as the Breath of Travel
In China / Travel Photography Project, Alex Usquiano turns travel into an act of contemplation.
Through the lights of Beijing and Shanghai, he explores the quiet pulse beneath urban movement — the fragile space where stillness meets change.
Each image becomes a breath of awareness, a moment of seeing before the mind begins to speak.
La respiración del instante: el viaje interior en la obra fotográfica de Alex Usquiano
En esta serie, Usquiano emprende un viaje que trasciende la geografía para adentrarse en el espacio invisible del instante.
Sus fotografías no son un registro documental ni una bitácora de viaje, sino fragmentos de conciencia, meditaciones visuales entre la quietud y el movimiento, entre el ruido y la respiración interior del mundo.
El artista observa con la actitud del testigo Zen, que contempla sin intervenir, encontrando belleza en lo transitorio y sentido en lo efímero.
Las calles, los vapores, los reflejos del agua y los rostros anónimos se funden en un mismo flujo vital: el qi, energía que une toda existencia.
No intenta capturar el mundo, sino permitir que el mundo se revele por sí mismo.
La tensión entre lo tecnológico y lo ancestral atraviesa cada imagen.
La luz —líquida, neón, vaporosa— es el hilo conductor de una poética que celebra la impermanencia.
Cada fotografía es un haiku de luz: una pausa donde el tiempo se suspende justo antes de desvanecerse.
Desde una mirada curatorial, el proyecto se alinea con la idea de la fotografía como acto de presencia, más que como registro.
Las ciudades retratadas se transforman en paisajes mentales donde lo humano y lo urbano reflejan una misma búsqueda: la conciencia en medio del caos.
Usquiano no idealiza ni juzga.
Su lenguaje visual se acerca al wabi-sabi, la belleza de lo imperfecto y lo pasajero.
Una vendedora envuelta en humo o un rostro bajo la luz azul se vuelven metáforas de la vida misma: apariciones fugaces que contienen lo eterno.
China / Travel Photography Project no es un testimonio sobre un país, sino una meditación sobre la mirada.
Alex Usquiano convierte el viaje en una práctica espiritual: cada encuadre es un gesto de silencio, cada disparo un acto de desapego.
Su obra invita a observar sin deseo, a comprender que ver realmente es, en sí mismo, una forma de despertar.
